Psalm 5:11

Psalm 112:7

Isaiah 9:6

Isaiah 40:10

Psalm 62:8-12

I know God is speaking to me within these scriptures because of what I am currently dealing with. These last couple of days, I have been depressed over my circumstances. I do not understand how I let my life get to this point. I really do not understand alot of what has transpired to this point. I be feeling betrayed, violated, vulnerable, and stuck in a situation I cannot escape. Today, my devotional's book prayer is the following:

" Jesus, I have found relief and refreshment in your presence. I pray for those who have no escape today. Please, be their covering and their help. Spread your wings over them. Show me how I can partner with you in doing the same. Help me bring joy to those who have been burdened down my mourning." Also, "God did not promise that we would not experience pain, suffering, and loss. Instead, he promises to be with us through them, to deliver us, and to be our loving leader through it all."

I get discouraged that anyone would de-humanize me, alienate me, or continue to violate me in any way. I think it is important for everyone to be able to pursue the life that makes them comfortable and brings them joy if it does not harm others. The scripture Psalm 5:11 But let all those that put their trust in thee rejoice: let them ever shout for joy, because thou defendest them: let them also that love thy name be joyful in thee. reminds me that I should be joyful that God intervenes on my behalf.

Also, when people do evil things, they usually think they're just doing it and will kill to protect their actions or agenda. That is why when people do evil things in positions of power, people lack the courage to stand up for themselves or what is right. Oppression is malicious or unjust treatment or exercise of power, often under the guise of governmental authority or cultural opprobrium. A good way to tell if you what you are doing is right is if you would want the same thing being done to you or your family. If the answer is no, then why would you do it to someone else? Psalms 112:7 He shall not be afraid of evil tidings: his heart is fixed, trusting in the LORD. Also, Psalm 62:10 says," Trust not in oppression, and become not vain in robbery: if riches increase, set not your heart upon them.. These scriptures are a reminder to not put trust in those who oppress me and to not set my heart upon riches but to keep my heart on values that matter. So, I will continue to speak up for myself and what is right regardless of the consequences. In a world full of silicon and plastic, most things we hold dear and normalize is unnatural. Which accounts for our disconnectedness with God, each other, ourselves, nature, and the universe. There is nothing alien or unnatural about me.
