I said, Surely thou wilt fear me, thou wilt receive instruction; so their dwelling should not be cut off, howsoever I punished them: but they rose early, and corrupted all their doings.
Luke 12:25 -26
Colossians 3:23
23 And whatsoever ye do, do it heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men;
John 10:10
The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.
Luke 1:79
To give light to them that sit in darkness and in the shadow of death, to guide our feet into the way of peace.
Scriptures are like a double- edged sword. They're meant to chastise everyone and to get people on the right track. Our individual relationship's with God should not be a competition with one another. There are many times I read my scriptures and know that God is checking me and my ways. This tells me that God cares about my well-being enough to correct me when I am wrong.
We know that our relationship's with God is personal. Whatever we do, it makes all the difference when we do it for God. I have to constantly remind myself of what Jesus came to do and did, so I can align my values the same. Me trying to put myself in his shoes and be more like him is what led me to a huge spiritual awakening. Jesus' philosophy on love and life is so perfect, but is harder to actually live. Jesus had an insurmountable amount of self control and grace. To be persecuted and humiliated in such a way, and to still meet so much evil with love is what I am striving for. Although, I forget this sometimes. This act of love was very significant for humanity and the spiritual realm alike. Like a pebble in water, one person can cause a ripple effect in the universe. How can we be more like Jesus?
