Philippians 2:13-14
Luke 10:25-37
27 And he answering said, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy strength, and with all thy mind; and thy neighbour as thyself.
30 And Jesus answering said, A certain man went down from Jerusalem to Jericho, and fell among thieves, which stripped him of his raiment, and wounded him, and departed, leaving him half dead.
31 And by chance there came down a certain priest that way: and when he saw him, he passed by on the other side.
32 And likewise a Levite, when he was at the place, came and looked on him, and passed by on the other side.
33 But a certain Samaritan, as he journeyed, came where he was: and when he saw him, he had compassion on him,
34 And went to him, and bound up his wounds, pouring in oil and wine, and set him on his own beast, and brought him to an inn, and took care of him.
35 And on the morrow when he departed, he took out two pence, and gave them to the host, and said unto him, Take care of him; and whatsoever thou spendest more, when I come again, I will repay thee.
Mark 12:30-31
And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength: this is the first commandment.
31 And the second is like, namely this, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. There is none other commandment greater than these.
Psalm 73:23-24
Psalm 25:4-5
5 Lead me in thy truth, and teach me: for thou art the God of my salvation; on thee do I wait all the day.
1 Corinthians 13:12-13
2 Corinthians 5:7
(For we walk by faith, not by sight:)
In Hebrew 4:12 it says " For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. 13Neither is there any creature that is not manifest in his sight: but all things are naked and opened unto the eyes of him with whom we have to do." The word of God gets on and humbles everyone. That's why you here a lot of preachers say the word is for me first then for you. That's why it is "sharper than any two-edged sword."
From Philippians 2:14, it says " do all things without murmurings and disputing." I'm guilty of not handling things properly when it comes to speaking up for myself because of an avoidance of confrontation and I be feeling like I should not have to convince people to do right by me. Now, moving forward, I will try my best not make complaints against people and keep bringing up things from the past. I know I must go to God about my problems. When I do speak up for myself and family, I will pray before saying anything.
One thing I find really cool, is that, loving God with all thy might and loving thy neighbor as thyself is mentioned twice so far in the bible and in my devotionals today. So, I know that is significant to me and my daily walk.
